Senior Maintenance Technician

Join our team as a Senior Maintenance Technician

In this pivotal role, you will utilize your advanced maintenance skills to support both production and facilities while mentoring others in maintenance tasks.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Troubleshooting, repairing, and installing a wide variety of complex electrical and mechanical equipment, including both manual and automated machines.
• Working on process and electronic controls independently.
• Handling secondary distribution systems, house wiring, and three-phase industrial power.
• Performing general maintenance on machines, conveyors, and structural materials, including welding with arc, gas, or automatic welding equipment.
• Executing general layout and construction tasks that require advanced metal fabrication, carpentry, and plumbing skills.
• Documenting repair statuses and expected downtimes to keep management and supervisors informed.
• Collaborating with the Maintenance Supervisor and Manager to create and implement a preventive maintenance schedule.
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by adhering to established procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contributing to team efforts by coaching and training others in maintenance tasks as required.
• Ensuring all work is thoroughly inspected prior to transitioning to the next operation.
• Completing documentation for production and quality actions accurately.
• Effectively communicating with team members and management at various levels.

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have experience using various hand and power tools.
• Possess basic computer skills.
• Can read and interpret construction, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
• Have foundational skills in light metal fabrication, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Are capable of independently installing, maintaining, and repairing manual and automated machinery.
• Can read and follow complex equipment operation instructions.
• Hold a High School diploma, GED, or a combination of relevant experience and skills.
• Understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Two or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least five years of experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing various manual and automated machinery.
• Five or more years of experience in building maintenance.

Physical Demands:

• Work is classified as Medium - Heavy Physical Demand Level.
• Regular lifting demands up to 75 pounds occasionally and 40 pounds frequently, with specific support methods required for heavier loads.
• Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
• Involves continuous manipulation of tools and equipment.
