Enterprise Services Risk Manager

Join our dynamic Enterprise Services Risk team at Capital One, where we are expanding our commitment to innovative risk management and cybersecurity practices. As a pivotal member of our Technology and Product Risk Office, you will leverage your expertise in cybersecurity and risk management to help safeguard our organization from potential threats.
In this exciting role, you will:
- Assess cybersecurity risk management practices across Capital One, ensuring our defenses are robust and reliable.
- Work closely with stakeholders in Cyber Governance and Risk to create, manage, and validate risk objects from inception to resolution.
- Advise teams on enhancing cybersecurity risk management processes to improve overall maturity and effectiveness.
- Lead the execution of various risk assessment strategies, including Process Level Assessments (PLA) and Material Technology and Cybersecurity Changes (MTC).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and optimize the effectiveness of cybersecurity scanning tools.
- Conduct regular risk reviews with stakeholders and support the development or modification of risk metrics as necessary.
- Assist in addressing regulatory responses and implement necessary actions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders regarding risk management best practices and enterprise risk management processes.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification.
- At least 4 years of experience in Cybersecurity, Technology, Risk Management, External Audit, or a combination of these fields.
- At least 4 years of experience in Process Management, Project Management, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
- Excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills for effective interaction across all levels.
- At least 5 years of experience in Cybersecurity, Technology, Risk Management, External Audit, or a combination of these fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in Process Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills to adapt to shifting priorities.
- Risk certifications such as CRISC, CISM, CRCM, CIPP, or ABA Risk Management Certification.
This position is not eligible for employment sponsorship. Compensation ranges include:
- Chicago, IL: $144,000 - $164,400
- McLean, VA: $158,400 - $180,800
- New York, NY: $172,800 - $197,200
- Richmond, VA: $144,000 - $164,400
