Overview
Barr Family Dentistry is looking for a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This role plays a key part in creating a welcoming environment for patients while also handling essential administrative tasks, including scheduling, billing, and front office coordination. Schedule
This full-time position follows a schedule of Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct them appropriately
- Handle patient billing and payment processing
- Update and maintain patient records with accuracy
- Assist with insurance verifications and basic claims follow-up
- Keep the front desk and reception area clean, stocked, and organized
- Support the dental team with additional administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a dental office or similar front desk role is preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple tasks at once
- Familiarity with scheduling software and general billing processes
- Positive attitude and a team-player mindset
