Dental Provider Contract Specialist

The Dental Provider Contract Specialist plays a vital role in initiating, negotiating, and finalizing dental provider contracts for our health insurance organization. This position involves diverse tasks that often require independent judgment and decision-making regarding best courses of action.
In this role, you will effectively communicate contract terms, payment structures, and reimbursement rates to dental providers. You will analyze the financial implications of contracts and maintain accurate documentation within our tracking system. Additionally, you will assist in identifying and recruiting providers based on network needs. Understanding departmental strategies and making independent decisions in uncertain situations will be key. Your ability to prioritize leads, navigate fee schedules, and research local community events to enhance our partnership with dental practices will significantly impact our success.
Face-to-face meetings with dental providers are an essential aspect of your responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

2 - 5 years of experience negotiating managed care contracts with healthcare providers.

Ability to analyze and communicate the financial impact of various contract terms.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Familiarity with MS Office applications.

A valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance are required for this role.

Willingness to travel at least 20% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree.

Master's degree.

Experience in ACO/Risk Contracting.

Experience with Value Based Contracting.
Additional Information

Home-based associates in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will receive bi-weekly internet expense payments.

Compensation Range
The estimated base pay for this position is between $65,000 and $88,600 per year, based on various factors including location and individual qualifications.
This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and individual performance.
