  • Establishes and maintains standards of postpartum care, implementing processes to monitor and ensure consistent adherence.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates ongoing postpartum services programs to ensure quality patient care aligns with the hospital's mission.
  • Oversees operational excellence of the postpartum department, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and professional standards.
  • Identifies opportunities for program expansion and enhancement to broaden patient services.
  • Manages fiscal responsibilities of the department, ensuring prudent use of organizational resources.
Candidate requirements A bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is required; a master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field is preferred. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas. Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience in postpartum care, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is required. National certification from the American Nurses Association (ANA) or a relevant professional organization must be obtained post-hire.
