Insight Global is seeking a Tooling Technician to join their client onsite in Lakeland, FL. This candidate will play a critical role in building, maintaining, and repairing tooling equipment to support production operations. This position requires hands-on expertise in welding, metal fabrication, and operating various shop machinery. You will be responsible for reading GD&T prints to build tools, troubleshooting hydraulic, plumbing, and mechanical systems, and ensuring all jigs and fixtures are in optimal condition. Daily tasks include lifting and transporting parts, operating cranes, forklifts, and CNC machines, and performing preventive maintenance. You will work closely with engineers and team members to meet project deadlines, maintain a safe work environment, and adapt to evolving strategies. This role demands strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to solving tooling challenges that help the company succeed.

Required Skills & Experience

Certified Senior Welder
Forklift Certified
Minimum of 5 years welding experience
Ability to read GD&T on prints
Experience inspecting and troubleshooting hydraulic, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Skilled in operating cranes, hoists, forklifts, tow motors, and other facility vehicles
Familiarity with CNC lathe, CNC mill, drilling, and saw machines
Knowledge of metal fabrication and technical equipment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience running CNC machines in a jigs shop
Proficiency in reading safety manuals, blueprints, and work orders
Ability to organize prints and track parts during tool builds
