As an Automotive Parts Specialist, you will play a critical role in our DIY business, providing exceptional customer service and expert automotive knowledge. This position is tailored for skilled professionals who are enthusiastic about helping customers identify and solve their automotive needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a superior GAS2 selling experience for DIY customers during in-store visits and phone calls.
  • Meet personal and store sales objectives while enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee DIY service offerings, including battery installation, wiper installations, and testing.
  • Maintain high standards of store appearance and customer service.
  • Perform key holder responsibilities, including task management and store opening/closing duties.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist with store inventory management, including stock organization and cycle counts.
  • Ensure the store remains clean and well-presented.
  • Provide hands-on DIY services, such as battery testing and installations.

Success Factors:

  • Exceptional communication and customer relationship skills.
  • Proficient in locating and managing parts inventory.
  • Strong safety knowledge and commitment.
  • Ability to operate inventory systems and store equipment effectively.
  • In-depth understanding of automotive systems and parts sourcing.

Essential Skills:

  • Sound knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, suspension, brakes, and electronics.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting safety documents, parts catalogs, and procedural manuals.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English (Spanish is a plus).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in automotive parts retail.
  • Proven sales experience and customer transaction fulfillment.

Education and Certifications:

  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • ASE certification preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation:

The estimated pay range for this role is between $18.15 and $19.96 per hour for new team members. The final rate will depend on various factors including experience, automotive knowledge, and location.
