About The Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years of high acuity hospital experience required License: Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS and PALS certification required Must-Have: Strong Pediatric ICU experience required. General cardiac experience required. Telemetry experience required. Description: Join a highly skilled and committed multidisciplinary team. Provide family-centered care to critically ill or injured children and their families. Work in a state-of-the-art 21-bed unit. Care for patients with various medical and surgical issues. Common conditions include acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, and cardiac anomalies. Experience with organ transplantation, multi-system organ failure, and ECMO is essential. Candidates must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years. Strong Level II experience at a high acuity facility will be considered. Available shifts are every Friday through Sunday, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Travelers may be scheduled to float to other units based on staffing needs. Requirements for telemetry competency must be fulfilled. Candidates must be prepared to manage a patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2. Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in a variety of nursing skills related to pediatric care. This position requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing patient care needs.
