TITLE: System Architect
LOCATION: Ann Arbor, MI - 3 days onsite and 2 days remote
DURATION: 6+ Months with possible extension
Rate: $80-$85/hr on W2

Job Description:

We're looking for candidates with strong knowledge of system architecture frameworks and proficiency in designing complex systems. The ideal candidate is self-driven, has excellent problem-solving abilities, and exemplifies leadership qualities.

Technical Skills & Tools:

  • Programming Languages: Python, C++
  • Architectural Frameworks: TOGAF, Attribute-Driven Design
  • System Modeling Tools: CATIA, Lucid

As a System Architect, you'll:
  • Align system architectures with business goals and requirements.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality product platform.
  • Apply systems engineering principles and methodologies to analyze and solve system design challenges.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system designs and architectures.
  • Design and implement integration strategies to ensure seamless interoperability between systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve architecture-related issues during the development lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • 9+ years of proven experience as a system architect, systems engineer, or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of system architecture frameworks
  • Working knowledge in the following:
    • Python, C++, architectural framework TOGAF, attribute-driven development, modeling tools, CATIA, and Lucid
  • Proficiency in designing complex systems with a focus on scalability, performance, and security
  • Experience with systems integration and interoperability practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Familiarity with interfaces such as REST, DDS, gRPC etc.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years as a system architect/engineer, preferably in the automotive industry
  • In-depth knowledge of software stacks in the automotive domain
  • Understanding of typical E/E architecture and familiarity with standard vehicle architecture
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Certifications in architecture frameworks or cloud platforms
