The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs from CAD models and engineering drawings.
- Operate CMM equipment to perform precise dimensional inspections of manufactured parts.
- Analyze measurement data, interpret results, and identify non-conformances or deviations.
- Generate accurate and comprehensive inspection reports detailing measurement findings.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to define measurement strategies and resolve issues.
- Perform routine calibration checks and basic maintenance on CMM equipment.
- Troubleshoot CMM program errors and optimize existing programs for efficiency and accuracy.
- Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
- Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
- Ability to accurately interpret complex engineering blueprints and specifications.
- Demonstrated experience with CMM setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of metrology principles and measurement best practices.
- Advanced GD&T certification or expertise
- Experience with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners)
- Proficiency in CAD design software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, NX)
- Background in Statistical Process Control (SPC) or data analysis
