Overview

Requirements
• License: Surgical Technologist Certification (CST)
• Certs: Current BLS certification

Responsibilities
• Scrub in on surgical procedures, under professional nurse supervision, for various advanced and complex surgeries.
• Anticipate the surgeon's preference for materials or instruments and respond accordingly.
• Update the nurse based on continuing assessment of equipment needs and physician preferences.
• Set up sterile table with necessary instruments, equipment, supplies, and medications for surgical procedures.
• Monitor supplies and instruments to ensure sterility and quality assurance of patient care.
Notes
• SEARHC does not provide housing or flights; rate is all-inclusive.
• Back up call for emergency cases that may require two surgical technicians.
