Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Boston, MA to design HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial buildings.
Impact

• Support client goals through code-compliant engineering solutions
• Drive project success through coordinated design
• Mentor junior engineers through design leadership
Responsibilities
• Design HVAC systems including load calculations and equipment selection
• Design plumbing and fire protection systems
• Prepare construction documents and specifications
• Coordinate with architectural and structural teams
• Perform energy modeling and code compliance analysis
• Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs during construction
• Attend project meetings and communicate with clients
• Support construction administration and commissioning
Requirements
Must-Haves
• 4+ years of MEP design experience
• PE license or ability to obtain within 1 year
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit MEP
• Strong knowledge of mechanical codes and standards
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
Nice-to-Haves
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• LEED AP or other sustainability credentials
• Experience with energy modeling software (EnergyPlus, Trace)
• Knowledge of building automation systems
