What You'll Do
  • Provide on-site technical service and system support at customer facilities across the Boston area.
  • Monitor and optimize water treatment programs, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient system operation.
  • Perform equipment installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of chemical feed, filtration, and RO systems.
  • Manage chemical inventory and feed systems; track product usage and prepare detailed service reports.
  • Partner closely with leadership to share technical findings, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure exceptional customer experiences.
  • Stay current with Apex's industry-leading training and professional development programs.
  • Represent Apex with professionalism, reliability, and a safety-first mindset.
What We're Looking For
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills; able to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proven field experience in industrial water treatment or related process industries.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain a professional image on-site.
  • Comfortable with local travel (daily) and occasional overnight trips (2-4 nights per month).
  • Must hold a valid driver's license, be able to lift 50 lbs., and pass a respirator fit test.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with RO systems, softeners, filtration, disinfection, or chemical dosing.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory guidelines for water treatment systems.
  • Certifications or advanced training in water treatment or industrial safety are a plus.
