Job Description

Job Title: Material Handler

Shift: 1st Shift- Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:30pm

Pay: $17/HR

Job Summary:

The Material Handler is responsible for efficiently and accurately moving, organizing, and handling apparel products within the distribution center. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and maintaining a clean, safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and process inbound shipments of apparel and related goods.
  • Sort, scan, and label merchandise according to established procedures.
  • Stock and organize inventory in designated areas.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with accuracy and speed.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, RF scanners, and forklifts (if certified).
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse floor.
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts and audits as needed.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily productivity goals.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous warehouse or distribution experience is a plus, especially in apparel or retail.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
  • Basic math and reading skills.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners is helpful.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and a team player.
Working Conditions:
  • Warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
  • May require overtime, weekend, or holiday shifts during peak seasons.
