As an Endocrinology Physician Assistant, you will work collaboratively with physicians to assess, diagnose, and implement treatment plans for both new and established patients. Your role will involve patient evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care, enabling you to make a significant impact on patient health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and establish presumptive diagnoses, implementing effective treatment plans tailored to your patient population.
- Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests as needed while prescribing evidence-based medical therapies.
- Prescribe, adjust, or discontinue medications and therapies when appropriate, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with the collaborating physician regarding any significant findings related to patient health or management.
- Perform procedures within the scope of your practice as a licensed physician assistant.
- Engage in clear communication with patients, their families, primary care providers, and referring staff, providing education in understandable language.
- Advocate for patients by delivering safe and ethical care, addressing their concerns, and supplying health education.
- Adhere to organizational policies and guidelines to meet departmental goals.

Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Nurse Practitioner (Required)
- Licensed Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
