ExecuSource has partnered with a large, well renowned Orthopedic Sports Medicine group and we are assisting them on a search for a Certified Medical Assistant for their office in Montgomery, AL. Candidates will be expected to float between the front and back office as needed.

This is a direct-hire/permanent opportunity and the Hiring Manager is actively setting up interviews

Duties and Responsibilities:
Front Office:

  • Welcome patients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
  • Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating demographic and financial information
  • Schedule patient appointments at the end of the visit
  • Tracking and follow-up with patient cancellations and no shows
  • Following up on outpatient referrals and surgical referrals
Back Office:
  • Prepare treatment rooms.
  • Record patients' medical history, vitals, or information such as test results in medical records.
  • Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician.
  • Explain treatment procedures, medications, or physicians' instructions to patients.
  • Inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Perform administrative/clerical work
  • May operate x-ray or other equipment to administer routine diagnostic testing
  • Cleans and sterilize medical equipment
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required; Medical Assistant Certification or Registered Medical Assistant strongly preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) required
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with the patient, medical staff, insurance companies and others
  • Caring demeanor
  • Working knowledge of computers, fax, copiers and other technology
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of EMR software
  • Prior medical receptionist experience
  • Strong administrative skills, with attention to detail
Pay: $21-$23/hour - Based on experience
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
