What you'll do:
- Network Design and Architecture:
- Develop detailed network designs, plan and evaluate new technologies and enhancements, ensure scalability and efficiency, and recommend network architecture and strategy.
- Implementation and Configuration:
- Deploy network infrastructure, develop test and implementation plans for hardware/software solutions, integrate new components, and lead design rollout to partner organizations.
- Technology Evaluation:
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions for application to network systems.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work with stakeholders and domain teams, manage vendor relationships, provide architectural expertise, and guide cross-functional teams.
- Project Management:
- Manage network projects, set priorities, prepare cost/benefit analyses, and use modeling and planning methodologies to develop strategic roadmaps.
- Apply broad business knowledge and strategic insight surrounding emerging trends and technologies to solve complex problems and drive organizational results.
- Leads critical, high-impact projects and designs/implements innovative business strategies.
- Work with minimal oversight, frequently consulting senior leadership and influencing executive decisions.
- Serve as a mentor and assist others with challenging issues.
- Act as the SME for evolving Mobility & Wireline architectures, leading knowledge transfer. Interpret business requirements, perform network modeling, and plan cost-effective technology solutions.
- Define subsystem interfaces, develop test plans, assess vendor solutions, and ensure standards compliance.
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative AI/ML expert with a strong background in networking. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to design, implement, deploy, and maintain state-of-the-art AI/ML systems that enhance the performance, resiliency, and security of AT&T's wireless and wired networks, and improve the capital and operational efficiency for the management of AT&T's networks and services. Specifically, the candidate will work with world-class networking innovators and data scientists in creating network foundational models (NFMs) encompassing a massive and diverse set of network data from the real networks and leveraging the NFMs to push the bounds on AI/ML network applications.

- 7+ years of related experience
- Certification is required in some areas.

- Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) in Computer Science or a technical field or equivalent experience preferred
Our Principal Network Technology Engineer, earn between $143,800 - $215,800 annually. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
