Responsibilities
Peraton is looking to hire a Senior Systems Cloud Architect, this position is 100% remote.
The Systems Architect will balance several roles in the development process, including computer coding, testing and deployment. They will support development and implementation of technology strategies for DevSecOps automation, including consensus and working relationships with technical teams on a regular basis. As a part of an agile program, they will determine/design the compute, network, and storage infrastructure in AWS Cloud environments including the commercial AWS and the AWS GovCloud that is required to satisfy program or project requirements. Also, they will Provision compute, network, and storage infrastructure in AWS Cloud environments including the commercial AWS and the AWS GovCloud.
What you'll do:
- Design enhancements, updates, and changes to the AWS environments to meet program requirements
- Modify networks, and/or storage parameters and any other AWS related offerings as needed to fulfill program needs
- Document designs and changes to environments in Jira and/or Confluence as a record and to communicate information to other team members
- Work on cross functional self-organizing teams as needed to collaborate in solving IT issues or implementing solutions to program requirements
- Collaborate and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding all aspects of system
- Represent the systems team for all phases of complex development projects
- Work with multiple teams and continually work on updating sections of code, testing the updated sections and deploying them
- Collaborating with other technical teams in the exchange and transfer of technical knowledge and in the development and evolution of automation development standards, guidelines, and reference
Qualifications
What you'll need:
- Education: 12 years experience with a BS/BA degree, 10 years with MS/MA, 7 years with PhD, or 16 years of experience in lieu of a degree
- Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance
- Certifications: AWS Certified Solution Architect and Security +
- Knowledgeable about AWS cloud infrastructure offerings
- Knowledgeable about AWS service offerings
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information to managers

Target Salary Range$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
