What You'll Do

As Recovery Support Specialist, you will:
  • Provide direct support to youth and families in homes and the community.
  • Complete CRA/ACC training and implement the SSTRY model, including all ACC requirements.
  • Administer SBIRT assessments and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Maintain at least one weekly contact with each assigned youth.
  • Collaborate with youth and families to assess readiness for change and set achievable goals.
  • Connect youth and families to case management and community-based supports.
  • Maintain timely, accurate records including service plans, contacts, and discharge plans.
  • Engage youth who may be resistant to participation using motivational strategies.
  • Participate in program meetings, trainings, and community events.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and maintain professional boundaries.
  • Maintain professionalism, uphold agency policies, and contribute to a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for families and staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support program success.
What We're Looking For
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in behavioral health with adolescents or transitional age youth, including case management.
  • Knowledge of youth substance use, recovery, and behavioral health challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with families, staff, and external partners.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to perform light to moderate lifting, standing, walking, bending, and other physical tasks as needed.
  • Potential exposure to bodily fluids and other environmental hazards in a residential and community-based setting
