As a Live Event Stage Crew Member, you will work alongside your Team Leader, Steward, and Client to ensure the setup, operation, and breakdown of various Live Events, such as:

  • Concerts
  • Sporting Events
  • Trade Shows
  • Theater Productions
  • Performing Arts Events
  • Corporate Functions
  • Parties
  • And much more

You will collaborate with different clients, assisting with lighting, sound, video, props, and general setup. Responsibilities will vary depending on the nature and scale of the production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Assembling production equipment on stage
  • Constructing and/or assembling stages, set pieces, and risers
  • Moving furniture, road cases, and miscellaneous equipment
  • Setting up tables and chairs
  • Providing general labor support to clients
  • Arranging sound, lighting, video, props, and equipment according to client specifications
  • Performing various backstage and front of house maintenance tasks
  • Assembling and disassembling equipment and support structures post-event
  • Maintaining a clean work environment and disposing of waste
  • Continuously enhancing your skillset

Minimum Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely lift up to 30 pounds regularly and occasionally 50 pounds
  • Capability to tolerate varying weather conditions
  • Stamina to climb stairs and portable ladders
  • Ability to work off ladders, crouch, crawl, and maneuver in restricted spaces
  • Skill in moving heavy objects up and down ramps
  • Reach overhead and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills
  • Climb onto or off elevated work surfaces
  • Full range of motion in upper extremities
  • Effective hearing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and communicate in English

This role is considered safety-sensitive, as it involves tasks that require full attention and skills to ensure safety. It is subject to QSR's Drug and Alcohol testing policy.

Live Event Stage Crew Member Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • Able to meet minimum physical requirements
  • Excellent stamina and strength
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and meet deadlines
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and follow instructions
  • Completion of an apprenticeship is a plus
  • Successful completion of QSR Orientation
  • Successful completion of QSR Stagehand Basics training
  • Experience in carpentry, electronics, or construction is advantageous
