Responsibilities

  • Obtain Customs clearances for various Importers, maintaining their profiles -filing entries
  • Monitoring changes at Customs and other government agencies
  • Prepare correct Customs entry and relate documentation
  • Communicate with customers to secure additional/special information for correct entry preparation
  • Communicate with Customs and/or other Government Agencies on entry/release issues
  • Automated invoice input, entry transmitting and filing necessary documents
  • Interact with Import Department and/or Warehouse staff on entry/other Government Agencies release
  • General Business Support Function as assigned
Hourly Pay Range: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At NEU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements, Education, and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate or significant or relevant/appropriate working experience
  • Brokerage industry experience preferred
  • Some knowledge of international commerce (Incoterms, method, customs regulations etc.) desirable
  • Good verbal and written communication Skill
  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays as necessary
  • Some computer skills including data entry and maintenance and working
