Registered Nurse Level II at Prevea Health a full?time, 40?hour per week position in the Urology department.
They provide patient?centered care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care. The RN II delivers direct patient care by identifying patient care needs through comprehensive nursing assessments, procedures, and medication administration. They may also provide phone advice or triage services as needed, and are responsible for the delivery of safe care within the scope of policy and Wisconsin Board of Nursing guidelines, collaborating with the team to meet high?quality care outcomes.
ResponsibilitiesProvides direct patient care which includes, but is not limited to, the rooming of patients, obtaining medical information, performing comprehensive initial patient assessment and reassessment relevant to the specialty area, administering medications and monitoring for reactions or side effects, and maintaining patient charts/records. Follow nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Communicates information with patients, physicians, advanced practice providers, and staff to ensure quality and continuity of care. Assists the physician or advanced practice provider with procedures, notes their instructions/orders, and makes necessary arrangements to ensure that they are carried out. Communicates relevant clinical information to the care team, physicians, and/or advanced practice providers to optimize patient outcomes. Triages patient, family, external provider, or affiliate staff concerns/inquiries. Manages patient/family health concerns through telephone triage. Actively seeks information to understand patient circumstances, problems, expectations, and needs. Facilitates caller's access to appropriate level of care by assessing needs and offering clinical options.
