Position Summary:
Join our team as a Senior Engineering Leader where you will direct, schedule, and enhance all plant engineering and maintenance functions, ensuring optimal efficiency from our equipment and facilities. Your role will be vital in maintaining and improving plant performance in Safety, Quality, Reliability, and our Customer 1st strategy. You will embody our core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert engineering guidance and leadership within the plant.
  • Supervise, coach, and conduct performance reviews for your direct reports.
  • Lead the formation and execution of the 3-year capital plan, including budget preparation and effective project management.
  • Recommend and assist in the modification and replacement of equipment and processing systems.
  • Stay updated on the latest technology in plant operations.
  • Develop and monitor approved budgets to align with plant goals.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive engineering records, including equipment manuals and inspection reports.
  • Drive an integrated maintenance process with a focus on predictive and preventative maintenance.
  • Oversee training, selection, and performance evaluation of maintenance and engineering teams.
  • Lead energy management and efficiency initiatives across the plant.
  • Collaborate with outside agencies such as OSHA and EPA to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Adhere to programs and practices that produce safe and high-quality food products.
  • Support the development and maintenance of SQF 2000 Systems.
  • Accountable for upholding Kroger Manufacturing's Food Safety and Quality Principles.
  • Perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years in the food industry with technical experience relevant to project management and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of food safety principles, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong analytical and strategic mindset.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
