Our leading client in the real estate industry is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $90,000 to $110,000 per year.

Job Description:

  • Assist and review domestic and combined tax returns for SMLLCs and combined group entities.
  • Prepare detailed support schedules for income tax compliance and provision calculations.
  • Reconcile fixed asset accounts from book to tax.
  • Handle federal and multi-state extension requests and quarterly estimated payments for corporate entities.
  • Calculate state apportionment for projections of taxable income.
  • Collaborate on projections of taxable income in accordance with ASC 740 and for estimated tax extensions and payments. Conduct REIT testing on a quarterly basis.
  • Reconcile tax accounts.
  • Engage in cross-functional responsibilities, collaborating with the Accounting and Finance Department to ensure accurate provision and income tax preparation.
Requirements:
  • Strong tax accounting experience, coupled with tax compliance expertise.
  • Ability to think strategically, synthesize complex business and financial data, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for writing Tax Position Memos.
Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 2 years or accounting or tax experience with a multi-entity company.
  • CPA License is a plus.
