Major/Essential Functions:
-
Supervise and teach residents and medical students in classroom and clinical settings.
-
Work in close conjunction with Orthopaedic department chair and PMR faculty to develop a long-term PM&R division strategic plan.
-
Provide patient care in the inpatient and outpatient settings affiliated with a Level 1 Trauma Center.
-
Perform outpatient procedures including injections, ultrasound, and EMG.
-
Develop rehabilitation protocols at the UMC of El Paso Hospital for patients requiring rehab services.
-
Engage in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship.
-
Serve the academic community through participations with committee work and other administrative duties.
-
Contribute to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission.

Ensure compliance with HIP AA and billing regulations.
-
Adhere to institutional and departmental policies and procedures.
-
Demonstrate professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility.
