BMO is currently sourcing for a Mortgage Warehouse Lending Operations Specialist on a 6-month contract.
This hybrid role supports operations within the mortgage finance business.

Role Overview:
The Mortgage Warehouse Lending Operations Specialist supports the onboarding and offboarding of assets, approves cash requests, manages collateral, and validates data for the mortgage finance business. The role ensures the accurate processing of mortgage transactions while contributing to strategic operational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily processing of residential mortgage loans
  • Support operational processes for securities and trade transactions
  • Handle asset onboarding, offboarding, and cash requests
  • Manage collateral documentation and data validation
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Analyze operational data to provide recommendations
  • Participate in system and process improvement projects
Must-Have Skills:
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in mortgage warehouse lending operations
  • In-depth knowledge of residential mortgage warehouse lending
  • Expertise in repo transaction flow and mortgage asset processing
  • Experience handling additional warehouse assets (commercials, HEL & HELOCs, student loans, autos)
  • Familiarity with key banking systems and technology
  • Understanding of risk and regulatory requirements
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Knowledge of Promerit system
Education Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
