Job Title: Neuro-Ophthalmologist
Job Specialty: Ophthalmology - Neuro
Job Duration: Full-Time
Shift: Days, Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 4:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: Full Time
Experience: Open to new graduates (must be board certified within 2 years of becoming board eligible)
License: Michigan license required (or willing to obtain)
Certifications:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified
- BLS (or willing to obtain)
- DEA (or willing to obtain)
Must-Have: Clean malpractice history preferred
Job Description:
- Join a well-established, comprehensive neuroscience team, delivering state-of-the-art technology and compassionate care.
- Diagnose and treat visual problems related to the nervous system, including unexplained or sudden vision loss.
- Conduct neuro-ophthalmologic testing such as visual acuity, visual field testing, pupillary reactivity, color perception, ocular alignment, and optical coherence tomography.
- Provide comprehensive patient and family education.
- Collaborate within a strong interdisciplinary model of care, including RNs, MAs, neuro-ophthalmology technicians, MSWs, patient support coordinators, PTs, OTs, and vestibular rehab specialists.
- Contribute to the area's only Neuro-Ophthalmology program.
- Partner in MS Care with a national Multiple Sclerosis Society affiliation.
- May include general neurology visits as practice builds.
- Opportunity open to candidates requiring H1B visa support; J1 visas are not supported.
