Position Description

Ryder is looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Diesel Technician to join our team. As part of our truck fleet operations, you will play a crucial role in keeping our vehicles in top working condition.

  • Hourly Pay: $36.45 per hour
  • Quarterly Bonus: Earn up to $500 every quarter.
  • Sign-On Bonus: Receive a total of $5000, paid in two installments after 30 and 90 days.
  • Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday
  • Hours: Second Shift: Tuesday-Thursday 3:00pm-11:30pm, Friday 12:00pm-8:30pm, Saturday 6:00am-2:30pm

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or technical certification is a plus.
  • Basic tools are required.
  • Demonstrated experience in mechanical repair of diesel engines and related systems.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs on heavy and medium-duty equipment.
  • Valid CDL Class A preferred; must obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Ability to pass a drug test, DOT physical, and background checks.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Performing maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including preventative maintenance and diagnostics.
  • Completing mechanical inspections and repairs independently.
  • Mentoring junior technicians.
  • Documenting work using the Shop Management System.
