Data Engineer:
  • Postgres + DB knowledge (any cloud DB) - very important
  • SQL Server
  • Kafka --- implementation/integration exp - very important
  • Some cloud experience (Azure of AWS) - Azure if preferred
Need this person to be professional, proactive, engaging, collaborative, willing to speak up and ask questions --- just a good employee

  • Building the stable production pipelines
  • This is more of an ETL Developer vs. Python/Open Source Data Engineer
  • More of building automation pipelines
  • SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, PostgreSQL (don't really need this, but is the DB)
  • The employee who's leaving is replacing a warehouse that they source from- OnPrem MS APS- flipping this to the Cloud into Azure Synapse,
    • They have a SQL Database that could be going to Synapse next year
  • Would like new person to learn the new environment... Azure Synapse AKA Azure Datawarehouse or even the OnPrem- APS or Parallel DWH
  • ADF has taken over SSIS- don't need someone who's specifically done this work.

  • Need someone who is not shy- moving really fast- those who are successful, move really quickly and are not afraid to ask questions
