Position Summary: As an Intermediate General Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks to uphold safety, functionality, and aesthetics of facilities and equipment. Your key responsibilities will include troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Independently troubleshoot and repair building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general mechanical components.
2. Conduct preventive maintenance on complex systems and equipment to enhance performance and lifespan.
3. Mentor and train entry-level technicians by sharing best practices and guidance.
4. Lead smaller maintenance projects to ensure they are completed on time and meet quality standards.
5. Work with vendors and contractors to coordinate repairs and installations, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
6. Maintain organized inventory of tools, replacement parts, and supplies for ongoing maintenance.
7. Assist with equipment upgrades or replacements, managing orders of necessary parts or tools.
8. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on the service vehicle, ensuring adherence to scheduled upkeep.
9. Follow workplace safety protocols and company policies while completing tasks.
10. Promptly report safety hazards or compliance issues to the maintenance supervisor.
11. Complete additional duties as assigned to support departmental objectives.

Working Relationships: Collaborate closely with department teammates and communicate frequently with various departments and external vendors.

Minimum Education: High School or GED

Preferred Education: Trade or Technical school certificate/diploma

Minimum Experience: 3-5 years of related experience

Preferred Experience: 5-7 years of related experience with proficient knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and safety systems.

Licenses/Certifications: Relevant Trade Licensure in Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry.

Other Requirements:

Travel: Must be able to drive for extended periods; a company vehicle will be provided, and maintaining a clean driving record is essential.

Hours & Conditions: Work hours are Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week and participation in an on-call rotation, including holiday coverage.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work safely in confined spaces as required.
• Regular lifting of up to 10 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 80 pounds with proper techniques.
• Must be able to stand or walk for up to 8 hours per day.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, squatting, twisting, and repetitive movements.
• Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures.
• Moderate noise levels typical of industrial settings.
