Culver City, CA, United States Sony Pictures Full time

Sony Pictures Television is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our Insights & Analytics team. This role will support the global distribution organization, which includes licensing, digital and physical distribution, platform licensing, and syndication operations.

The Senior Product Manager will build data products, operational reporting, and analytics tools that enable the business to make data-driven decisions. This role will transform content licensing, distribution, and performance data into decision-ready intelligence. This includes creating dashboards, predictive models, distribution-revenue forecasting tools, data infrastructure, and automated data applications.

The ideal candidate combines analytical curiosity, structured problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills to drive the development and scaling of data products that enhance distribution effectiveness and strategic decision-making across regions and multiple lines of business. This candidate should blend product management rigor, technical fluency, and strong domain knowledge of content distribution with a forward-looking interest in how data, AI, and analytics can shape creative, operational, and commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior analytics and product leaders to define and deliver data products that support global content licensing, linear & digital distribution, and windowing objectives.
  • Collaborate with distribution, sales planning, business affairs, insights, finance, and operations teams to gather requirements and translate them into clear product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Manage and enhance dashboards and reporting tools that measure title performance, territorial sales, platform consumption, rights utilization, and revenue outcomes across windows.
  • Support linear & digital distribution intelligence by defining requirements and success metrics for reporting on platform performance (e.g., Broadcast, Cable, SVOD, AVOD/FAST, EST), rights activity, and consumption analytics.
  • Partner with Data Science, Data Engineering, and BI teams to ensure data reliability, rights-metadata integrity, and consistency across deal, revenue, and performance datasets.
  • Contribute to roadmap planning, backlog management, and sprint execution, ensuring timely delivery of distribution-focused product features and analytics capabilities.
  • Collaborate with analytics partners to define and track KPIs for distribution efficiency, revenue-forecasting accuracy, windowing performance, partner/platform ROI, and content-exploitation outcomes.
  • Assist with QA testing, documentation, rollout materials, and training sessions to ensure stakeholder understanding and adoption of distribution data products.
  • Champion a data-driven culture, helping non-technical distribution and sales stakeholders interpret insights and make informed licensing, windowing, and monetization decisions.
Qualifications
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in product management, business analytics, sales planning, or a related data-focused role within entertainment, media distribution, or digital content ecosystems.
  • Experience delivering data or analytics products such as dashboards, automation workflows, or performance measurement tools.
  • Knowledge of content distribution, rights management, and licensing analytics.
  • Familiarity with linear & digital distribution and reporting on consumption and monetization.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience working within Agile or iterative delivery frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams through clear communication.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Media Studies, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with modern data tools and platforms (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, SODA, Jupyter Notebook, or similar).
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., Data Science, BI, Data Engineering, Strategy, and Research).
  • Strong SQL experience, intermediate Python experience, and comfort with SDLC methods including CI/CD and automated QA.
  • Experience with data infrastructure and GenAI tooling, including applications that enhance analytics, reporting, or automation workflows.
  • Experience with predictive modeling or performance analytics related to distribution, revenue, or content consumption.
  • Strong data visualization and storytelling skills.
  • Experience with rights management systems, distribution ERP tools, or digital supply chain platforms.
