About the Role:
We're seeking an experienced Electronics Buyer to manage purchasing for electrical and electronic components, materials, and services that support production. You'll negotiate pricing, manage supplier relationships, and ensure on-time delivery - all while optimizing cost and quality. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with production to align component purchases with build schedules
- Source, negotiate, and issue purchase orders for materials and services
- Maintain budgets, quality standards, and compliance with regulations
- Evaluate and manage supplier performance
- Track deliveries and resolve issues with late or defective goods
- Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records
- 3-5 years of electronics/electrical purchasing experience
- Ability to read schematics and work with BOMs
- Strong knowledge of electronics, components, and ERP systems (Deltek CostPoint a plus)
- Excellent communication, organization, and negotiation skills
- Degree preferred; HS diploma required
- Must be a U.S. Person (per ITAR/EAR regulations)
- Background, credit check, and drug screen required
