About the Role
We're looking for a friendly, coffee-loving Barista to lead the daily rhythm of our neighborhood café - the heart of the community each morning. As the first smile our residents see in their day, you'll craft espresso drinks, prepare morning favorites, and help create a warm, welcoming space that feels like home.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in early mornings, enjoys genuine conversations, and takes pride in running a beautiful, well-organized café.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso drinks, teas, and drip coffee with consistency and care
- Maintain a clean, stocked, and inviting café space
- Manage daily café operations - including opening, closing, and light inventory tasks
- Support ordering and restocking of supplies and products
- Ensure every interaction with residents and guests creates a positive, memorable experience
- Handle transactions accurately and efficiently
- Partner with the hospitality team to support occasional community events or seasonal offerings
- A people person with a natural ability to make others feel welcome
- Passionate about coffee and eager to share that enthusiasm with others
- Organized, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of a small café environment
- Someone who values teamwork, hospitality, and consistent service
- Previous barista or café experience preferred, but a great attitude and willingness to learn are just as important
