As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will treat a wide range of mental health conditions, ensuring that our diverse patient population receives the care they need.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Establish strong provider-patient relationships and coordinate care with external providers.
  • Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Provide evidence-based treatment for various mental health conditions using methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy.
  • Systematically track treatment response and closely monitor patients for any changes in clinical symptoms or treatment side effects.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (Athena) and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related counseling field.
  • Active and unrestricted license (LICSW, LMFT, LMHC, or LPC) in Oregon.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of clinical experience post-master's degree.
  • Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families.
  • Proficiency in using computers for professional communication and medical documentation, including Excel, Outlook, and Athena RMS (or other EHRs).
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with ease.

The salary range for this position is $59,500 to $116,600 annually for full-time employment, based on numerous factors such as local labor markets, education, and experience. UnitedHealth Group offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase options, and a 401k contribution, subject to eligibility requirements.
