Position Details:

• Local CDL A Delivery Driver role
• Attractive Pay: Average yearly earnings of $83,500
• Schedule: Primarily Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays; Expect 10-12 hours per day with dispatch times between 3am-5am, ending times may vary, and occasional overnights

About the Role:
As a vital part of the food supply chain, our delivery drivers ensure timely and safe delivery of products, while building strong relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Professional interactions with customers and colleagues, responding to queries accurately and on time.
• Collaborate as a team member, executing any duties assigned to enhance the company's performance.
• Conduct safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip inspections) in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Report safety concerns and necessary repairs appropriately.
• Adhere to all DOT regulations and drive safely according to company policies.

• Scrutinize the trailer for proper loading and secured freight and perform count checks against customer invoices.
• Accurately complete all paperwork associated with freight.
• Move the tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailers as necessary.
• Deliver customer orders according to a pre-determined routing schedule.

• Unload products from trailers and transport them to designated storage areas.
• Perform damage control checks on items and report any issues per company policy.
• Verify deliveries with customers and obtain necessary signatures.
• Collect payments where applicable and secure returned items on the trailer.

• Ensure all equipment, trailers, and freight are secured at all times.
• Unload damaged goods and returns and complete necessary paperwork at driver check-in.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the tractor and loading area.
• At the end of shifts, secure all equipment and finalize paperwork.
• Fulfill other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 12 or more months of commercial driving experience.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid CDL A license required.
• Compliance with all state licensing and certification requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
• Pass a post-offer drug test and background check.
• Successful completion of a road test.
• Current DOT Health Card or ability to secure one.
• Physical capability to lift and transport products generally ranging from 10-90 pounds.
