Job Description
  • Portfolio Leadership: Executive oversight and accountability for the successful delivery and financial performance (P&L) of a regional portfolio of multi-million dollar projects.
  • Business Development & Client Management: Lead strategic client relationships, actively participate in preconstruction, and drive successful project acquisition and contract negotiation.
  • Risk and Financial Strategy: Analyze and manage complex project risk, oversee contract compliance, and ensure robust financial forecasting and reporting across the division.
  • Talent Development: Mentor, manage, and scale high-performing teams of Project Managers and Project Engineers, ensuring succession planning and operational excellence.
  • Operational Standards: Implement and enforce the firm's national best practices, driving continuous improvement in project delivery, safety, and quality assurance.
  • Executive Reporting: Provide strategic project updates and financial forecasts directly to corporate and regional leadership.

The Successful Applicant
  • Minimum of 12+ years of progressive project management experience in commercial construction, including at least 5 years operating in a Director or Project Executive capacity for a major national or regional General Contractor.
  • Proven track record in managing a multi-million dollar portfolio of complex commercial, institutional, or industrial projects (preferably over $50M in individual project size).
  • Exceptional P&L management skills and expertise in advanced contract negotiation (e.g., GMP, Lump Sum, Design-Build).
  • Demonstrated success in leading and securing new business, including strong client relationship-building and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree strongly preferred).
  • High-level proficiency with construction management software and advanced project controls.
