Position Summary: The Logistics Specialist is accountable for ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of fuel products using company trucks and common carriers, while adhering to all safety and environmental regulations. This role leverages the Trimble TMW Suite Fuel Dispatch software for route management, driver tracking, inventory monitoring, and optimization of fuel delivery operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage inventory levels, set supplier pull points, and schedule fuel deliveries utilizing both company trucks and common carriers.
• Ensure deliveries arrive within specified timeframes, prioritizing schedules without violating restrictions.
• Make logistical decisions regarding common carriers based on availability and supply sources.
• Review Underground Storage Tank (UST) polling data exceptions and address missed deliveries and sales variances.
• Coordinate dispatch activities for optimal driver schedules, maintaining high productivity levels and effective truck utilization.
• Adjust dispatched loads in collaboration with the supply team to align with daily market trends.
• Guarantee fulfillment of all supply contract term volumes weekly/monthly.
• Work closely with Driver Supervisors to ensure appropriate coverage, schedule driver meetings, and manage truck swaps effectively.
• Coordinate tank tests and pump-outs with carriers or terminals to ensure timely arrivals or pump-outs of products.
• May have additional duties such as route card updates, reconciling common carrier invoices, and software maintenance within the Trimble TMW Suite Fuel Dispatch software.

Working Relationships: Collaborate with supply desk, area supervisors, and common carriers to resolve issues, including truck breakdowns and emergency loads.

Minimum Education: High School diploma/GED required.

Preferred Education:

Minimum Experience: 1-2 years in logistics dispatch recommended.

Preferred Experience: Experience in petroleum freight dispatch operation is a plus.

Licenses/Certifications:

Soft Skills/Competencies: Ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and possess strong analytical and decision-making skills.

Other Requirements:

Travel: No travel is required.

Hours & Conditions: Must be flexible with condensed hours and occasional weekends. Holidays will be worked as scheduled.

Physical Requirements: Minimal physical effort required; primarily sitting or standing at a computer for extended periods; ability to lift up to 10 lbs.

In accordance with the Massachusetts Pay Transparency Law, we are sharing the base salary range for this position. Final pay within this range will depend on your skills, experience, and qualifications.
