We are seeking an experienced Backend & Rules Engineer to design and implement high-performance microservices for scoring, arbitration, rules evaluation, and real-time decision APIs. This role will develop clean, production-grade code, integrate machine learning outputs, and rule engines, and optimize systems for low latency and high throughput. Additionally, the engineer will implement eligibility logic, business constraints, suppression rules, and metadata-driven rules using JSON/DSL formats.

Required Qualification

8+ years of experience in translating business policies into deterministic runtime logic

5+ years of experience in building unit and scenario tests to validate rule correctness and safety

5+ years of experience in contributing to observability and debugging tooling across the decision engine.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this remote role is ($70.00-$80.00/hour). This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.

This position is eligible for company benefits that will depend on the nature of the role offered.
