Pediatric Pulmonology Job Details
  • Location: Philadelphia, PA 19134 (Pennsylvania pediatric healthcare jobs)
  • Setting: Pediatric Pulmonology - Inpatient, Outpatient, Bronchoscopy, and Call Coverage
  • Schedule: One week per month (7 consecutive days), day and night call coverage
  • Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts (day/night)
  • Start Date: March 16, 2026
  • Assignment Type: Locum tenens physician job
  • Credentialing Timeframe: Estimated 90 days
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $6,390-$7,560
Pediatric Pulmonary Physician Qualifications
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Pulmonology
  • Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license (or eligibility for PA medical license)
  • Valid DEA license
  • Completed Fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology (minimum 3 years)
  • ACLS and PALS certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in pediatric pulmonology preferred
  • Clinical proficiency in bronchoscopy, intubation, ventilation management, central and arterial lines, lumbar puncture, paracentesis, thoracentesis, chest tube insertion, and sedation preferred
Pediatric Pulmonology Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient pediatric pulmonary care, including bronchoscopy and consults
  • Provide day and night call coverage for a 7-day stretch each month
  • Manage phone consults (approximately 4 per day) and offer expert guidance to the pediatric care team
  • Perform and interpret procedures such as intubation, ventilation management, sedation, central and arterial line placement
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality pediatric patient care
  • Support ICU consults as needed (not exclusively ICU-based)
