Structural Steel Welder
Peoplelink Staffing Solutions in partnership with a prominent client in Livonia, MI within the Steel Product Manufacturing industry, is currently recruiting for a Structural Steel Welder.

Job Summary :
  • $18.00- 23.00/ hour based on experience.
  • 1st Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday, Overtime on Saturday as necessary
Experience Needed :
  • Proficient reading of blueprints.
  • Proficient layout and fit up of materials.
  • Proficient identification and application of welds to AWS D1.1 requirement.
  • Receive work order; obtain and organize materials; ensure all materials being used are accurate and in compliance with specifications and quality control program; job task and order of processes planning.
  • Correctly set up welding equipment with proper gas type and flow, wire speed and amperage.
  • Wear properly fitted PPE, including but not limited to gloves, face shields, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and welding hoods.
  • Work in an efficient, safe, and productive manner.
  • Safely operate equipment such as cranes, fork trucks, grinders, saws, and welding machines.
  • Maintain, support, and follow all standards as specified in the Quality Management System.
  • Provide support to other employees on essential job functions when required. Maintain a clean and organized workspace and maintain shop floor organization and cleanliness as directed by management.
  • May be trained on various machines as needed.
  • Must be able and willing to learn.
  • Engage in other related duties and responsibilities as directed by management.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • 2+ years related experience required.
  • Must demonstrate and maintain a courteous and professional attitude.
