Position Overview

We are seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician with a solid foundation in General Maintenance tasks including Hydraulic Systems, Electrical and Electronic Systems, and Welding (TIG, MIG). The ideal candidate will operate and repair various types of forklifts and will work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Safety is our priority—compliance with all Company Safety rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete all assigned daily Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks.
  • Ensure production lines are operating smoothly and efficiently.
  • Assist other teams, including Production and Quality, as needed.
  • Maintain adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and Safety Policies.
  • Conduct visual inspections and tests on machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose malfunctions by listening for unusual sounds and collaborating with supervisors.
  • Dismantle defective machines for repairs or replacements of parts.
  • Maintain machinery through cleaning and lubrication of essential components.
  • Handle the installation and repair of electrical systems, including transformers and wiring.
  • Repair and maintain the physical structure of the facility.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and program automated machinery.
  • Adhere to ISO 14001 procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Education and Experience:

  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  2. Five to ten years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  2. Ability to interpret blueprint documents and technical manuals.
  3. Competent in writing routine correspondence.
  4. Adept at calculations including measurements, proportions, and equipment specifications.

Certifications:

Any relevant certifications (e.g., EPA Certification, Electrician License) are advantageous.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands required.
  • Occasional sitting, climbing, and balancing may be necessary.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.

Work Environment:

  • Wet and/or humid conditions may be present.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • Variability in temperature, including extreme cold.
  • Electrical hazards and potential vibration exposure.
