Senior Accountant, Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting

We are seeking a Senior Accountant, Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting to join a growing financial reporting team. This role provides exposure to SEC filings, technical accounting research, statutory reporting, and collaboration across global operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting and reporting, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy tackling complex technical matters.

Responsibilities

What you will do:
  • Assist in preparing quarterly and annual SEC filings, including financial statements, disclosures, and MD&A
  • Support statutory reporting requirements and evaluate differences between US GAAP and IFRS/local GAAP
  • Research, evaluate, and document technical accounting issues and the impact of new or unusual transactions, drafting clear white papers and technical memos
  • Serve as a key contact for external auditors, providing support and documentation as needed
  • Contribute to maintaining compliance with SOX requirements, particularly in the areas of unusual transactions and reporting controls
  • Assist with the implementation of new accounting standards and company policies across reporting entities
  • Draft and update accounting policies, ensuring consistency across the organization
Qualifications

What you bring:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting; CPA required
  • 4+ years of accounting experience, ideally with a mix of Big 4 public accounting (audit/advisory) and corporate experience
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
  • Experience with lease accounting and revenue recognition a plus
  • Ability to research and resolve technical accounting matters, preparing well-documented conclusions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex issues clearly to diverse audiences
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while collaborating across teams
  • Driven and confident, with the ability to prioritize and deliver results in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
