Hourly Range: $26.15/hour - $39.23/hour (dependent on years of experience, unionized)

Shift Notes: 80 Hours Per 2-Week Pay Period / 8 & 12-Hour Day Shifts

Weekend Requirements: Every 4th Weekend

On-Call Requirements: No On-Call

Additional Shift Details:
  • Weeks 1 and 2: 11:45 AM - 8:15 PM, Monday-Friday.
  • Week 3: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday.
  • Week 4: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 2 weekdays (may vary) and 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Saturday-Sunday
  • Opening shifts will be required as needed, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM.
Position Summary:

The Lab Technician is responsible for the collection and processing of customer specimens and the performance and evaluation of a range of clinical laboratory tests to assist in the diagnosis and monitoring of customer treatment.

Customers may include infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Education:
  • Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technician or Laboratory Science from an accredited institution required.
  • OR Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science from an accredited college/university or equivalent education and laboratory experience to qualify under CLIA guidelines required.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Clinical lab experience - Required.
  • Knowledge of CLIA, Federal, and State regulations - Required.
  • Must be detail-oriented - Required.
Licensure and Certification:
  • ASCP/NCA certification or eligibility - Preferred.
