The Funding Agent is responsible for reviewing loan documentation, ensuring compliance with lender requirements, clearing funding conditions, and coordinating disbursement of funds. This role plays a critical part in the funding cycle by verifying accuracy, mitigating risk, and supporting lien perfection post-funding.

What you will do:
  • Review loan documents and follow TF/bank checklists.
  • Verify rates (buy rate, contract rate, lender limits), notarization, signatures, insurance, and wire instructions.
  • Identify and clear funding delays or outstanding conditions.
  • Submit a funding package to the bank and monitor status.
  • Initiate wire requests once funding is approved.
  • Package completed loan/title documents.
  • Send documentation to the designated document agency or internal lien perfection team for recording and compliance.
Key Accomplishments
  • Successfully reviewed and funded high-volume loan packages with 100% compliance to lender and TF checklists.
  • Reduced funding delays by proactively clearing conditions and verifying wire instructions, improving turnaround time.
  • Maintained error-free rate verification, preventing funding rejections.
  • Ensured accurate notarization, signatures, and insurance, resulting in zero document rework or lender returns.
  • Coordinated funding and initiated timely wire disbursements, supporting smooth dealer and seller payouts.
  • Streamlined post-funding document packaging and delivery to lien perfection teams, enabling faster lien recording and title completion.
What you should have:
  • 2+ years of direct experience in financial services in loan funding, closing, mortgage processing, or back office operations
  • Strong attention to detail and compliance mindset.
  • Knowledge of loan documentation, rate structures, and funding processes.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines.
