Job Title: HVAC Technician
Duration: Jan 26 - Jan 27
Pay Rate Range: 25.00 - 27.00 USD/Hourly
Type: Onsite in East Syracuse

Job description:
  • HVAC Lab Technician supports the testing, evaluation, and development of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Experience with HVAC equipment, a strong understanding of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics, and the ability to work in a laboratory environment focused on performance testing and product validation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate and assemble testing apparatuses to support testing and development of commercial HVAC products.
  • Learn HVAC product certification standards.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical modifications to test units and components.
  • Fabricate and assemble testing apparatuses to support testing and development of commercial HVAC products.
  • Understanding of HVAC product certification standards.
  • Accurately record and document test data utilizing data systems and MS Office applications.
  • Calibrate test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot units or instrumentation issues.
  • Run performance testing on HVAC equipment according to the ASHRAE / UL standards to support the HVAC Commercial Engineering team, including setting up, instrumenting, and testing of rooftop units

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years HVAC or mechanical maintenance experience required;however, additional education be considered in place of years or experience
  • Must obtain EPA refrigerant certification EPA608 within 60 days of start date to remain eligible for position, at their own expense
