Phoenix Construction Project Management (Electrical / DCO / Mission-Critical) - All Levels

Important: This posting is part of a Talent Pipeline and does not represent a currently open position.
We maintain pipeline postings to proactively identify qualified candidates for roles that open frequently but may not be active at the time of application
This posting is for our Project Management Talent Pipeline, primarily supporting clients in the Phoenix metro area and other key markets. We are currently hiring for many of these positions, but headcount needs and openings shift regularly. We encourage you to apply to both active roles and this pipeline posting so we can consider you for current and future opportunities. We review applicants proactively and contact qualified candidates as relevant roles become available.

We're building a bench of Project Management professionals at all levels, from Assistant Project Manager through Senior Project Manager and Project Executive, for industrial and mission-critical construction projects.

We typically support clients with roles such as:
  • Assistant Project Managers (up to $105,000)
  • Project Managers (up to $160,000)
  • Senior Project Managers (up to $195,000)
  • Project Executives / Program Managers (up to $195,000)
  • Operations-focused Project Managers

Responsibilities

Depending on experience and level (APM through Senior PM/Executive), responsibilities may include:
  • Supporting or leading projects from pre-construction through closeout, including planning, execution, monitoring, and handover.
  • Owning or supporting project budgets, forecasts, cost tracking, and change management, often in partnership with Project Controls.
  • Coordinating closely with schedulers to ensure schedule logic aligns with field realities and contractual commitments.
  • Leading or supporting procurement, subcontractor and vendor management, including scope definition, bid review, and contract administration.
  • Managing RFIs, submittals, and design clarifications, ensuring timely responses and proper documentation.
  • Facilitating communication between clients, internal stakeholders, and field teams, maintaining strong relationships and clear expectations.
  • Driving safety and quality standards in coordination with EHS and QA/QC teams; engaging actively in the safety culture.
  • Identifying risks and opportunities early, developing mitigation or recovery plans where needed.
  • Conducting or contributing to project reviews, progress meetings, and status reporting for leadership.
  • For APM-level roles:
    • Supporting PMs with documentation, coordination, and execution tasks.
    • Learning to own discrete scopes of work with increasing autonomy.
  • For PM-level roles:
    • Independently managing small to mid-size projects or portions of larger programs.
    • Owning outcomes for cost, schedule, and quality.
  • For Senior PM/Project Executive roles:
    • Overseeing complex or multi-site projects.
    • Mentoring other PMs/APMs and influencing regional or portfolio strategy.

Qualifications

We regularly support clients seeking APMs, PMs, Senior PMs, and Project Executives. Candidates should bring a mix of:

Core Project Management Experience:
  • Experience managing or supporting construction or industrial projects (electrical, mechanical, civil, or multi-discipline), with strong preference for electrical or mission-critical/data center work.
  • Understanding of project lifecycle phases, from pre-con through startup and closeout.
  • Hands-on experience working with budgets, cost reports, and change orders.
  • Familiarity with contract documents, scopes of work, and commercial terms.
Technical & Collaboration Skills:
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Experience coordinating with Project Controls, Scheduling, Engineering, and Field Operations.
  • Comfort directing or coordinating subcontractors and vendors in the field.
  • Familiarity with tools such as P6/MS Project for schedules and standard construction/project management platforms (e.g., Procore, CMiC, etc., as applicable).
Education & Level Guidelines (not strict):
  • Assistant Project Manager: 1-3+ years of experience in project coordination/support roles; degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Project Manager: 3-7+ years of direct project management experience with growing project size/complexity.
  • Senior PM/Executive: 7-10+ years leading major projects or portfolios, with demonstrated client ownership and leadership of other PMs/APMs.
Soft Skills:
  • Strong ownership mindset and accountability for project outcomes.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both field and executive stakeholders.
  • Calm under pressure with good judgment in fast-moving situations.
  • Aptitude for mentoring and developing junior team members (for senior roles).
  • Structured, organized, and able to keep multiple moving parts aligned.
If you've been responsible for turning awarded work into executed, profitable projects and want to do that work in a high-impact industrial/mission-critical environment, this pipeline is for you.
