You'll deliver practical training on high voltage systems and equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operations across the industry. How you'll make an impact
- Develop and deliver engaging technical training on high voltage equipment and safety protocols.
- Lead training sessions for both internal teams and external customers.
- Oversee the certification process for field service personnel.
- Manage and maintain a state-of-the-art training center and its equipment.
- Prepare and update comprehensive training documentation and bulletins.
- Provide expert technical support and advice to field service teams.
- Collaborate with business units to align training with company strategy.
- Continuously enhance your own technical knowledge and certifications.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred).
- Proven experience in a technical or field service role, ideally with high voltage equipment.
- Familiarity with high voltage equipment such as High Voltage Breakers (Dead Tank, Live Tank), GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear), GCB (Generator Circuit Breaker), PASS (Plug & Switch System), High Voltage Disconnectors and Grounding Switches, Power Quality Equipment, and Digital Stations is a significant differentiator.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering concepts.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Fluency in English (Spanish or other languages a plus).
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
