Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Service Technician - Commercial HVAC in Kent, WA to maintain heating and cooling systems for commercial and industrial facilities in the Seattle metro area.

Impact

• Support business operations by maintaining reliable HVAC systems for warehouses, distribution centers, and office buildings

• Minimize equipment downtime through preventive maintenance and rapid response to service calls

• Optimize energy performance and reduce utility costs for building owners and tenants

• Ensure compliance with Washington mechanical codes and manufacturer specifications

• Build client trust through professional service and technical expertise

Responsibilities

• Service commercial HVAC equipment including RTUs, make-up air units, split systems, and exhaust fans

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures involving compressors, motors, controls, and refrigerant systems

• Test refrigerant charge, airflow, and control sequences to ensure proper operation

• Replace filters, belts, bearings, and other wear components during scheduled maintenance

• Respond to service calls to restore heating and cooling operations

• Inspect electrical components and test capacitors, contactors, and motor circuits

• Document service activities and provide clients with detailed reports

• Coordinate with facility managers to schedule maintenance and minimize disruptions

• Maintain company vehicle and ensure proper stock of parts and tools

Requirements

Must-Haves

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience

• EPA Universal refrigerant certification

• Strong troubleshooting skills for HVAC mechanical and electrical systems

• Valid Washington driver's license

• Ability to work in warehouse and industrial environments

Nice-to-Haves

• NATE certification in commercial HVAC service

• Experience with large tonnage RTUs and make-up air units

• Knowledge of building automation systems

• OSHA 10 certification and forklift operation
