  • Lead and manage the infection prevention program, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Oversee infection surveillance, prevention, and control strategies across the healthcare facility, with a focus on minimizing healthcare-associated infections.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to infection control and prevention, ensuring they are aligned with national and state guidelines.
  • Conduct audits, data analysis, and reporting to track infection rates and outcomes, recommending improvements when necessary.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams, including nursing, physicians, and ancillary staff, to implement infection prevention protocols and ensure staff education.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on infection prevention, providing training and consultation to staff at all levels.
Candidate requirements A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Public Health is preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia. Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 3 years in infection prevention and control or a leadership role. Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
