Diesel Field Service Technician

Xylem is looking for a Diesel Field Service Technician to report to our Jacksonville, FL location and service our equipment both on-site and at customer sites in the surrounding area.

What your day will look like as a Diesel Field Service Technician:

The Diesel Field Service Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our diesel and gas engine powered pumps, and their corresponding electrical and mechanical components, both at customer sites throughout FL and at our shop in Jacksonville. Equipment specific training will be provided, but applicants with previous experience working on diesel or gas powered engines are especially encouraged to apply.

The Diesel Service Center Technician will be responsible for providing their own tools.

Position Requirements for Diesel Field Service Technicians:

• HS diploma or equivalent

• 1-3 years diesel mechanic experience preferred

• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues

• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools and lifting equipment

• Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in equipment repair and maintenance

• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision; self-motivated and self-directed

• Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug screen

• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.?
